For 60 years, young people have lived and learnt abroad within the scope of an AFS program. In everyday intercultural dialogue, from people to people and from culture to culture, they have learnt to see the unknown and the well-known with new eyes.

60 years of formative intercultural experiences - We celebrated this treasure in knowledge and experiences and made it accessible. Between November, 2007 and October, 2008 we invited our former participants and our volunteers to celebrate together and to share their stories with others. There were also be many possibilities for the general public to get to know AFS better. On these pages, the activities and events of the anniversary year in Germany are being introduced.
